This policy explains how prodparker ("we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit prodparker.com, including the beats and Muffin sections, or buy Muffin. We are the data controller for this website.

Our registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce is in progress. Until it is complete, the registration and VAT numbers below are marked as pending and our postal address is available on request. Everything else in this policy applies as written today.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect and why

Analytics (only after you consent)

If you select "Accept" on the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-YY8HXYSMKJ) sets cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not log or store), device and browser type, and a randomised identifier. We use this only to measure traffic and improve the site. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Until you accept, analytics storage stays switched off through Google Consent Mode. Advertising and personalisation signals (ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation) are denied at all times and are never enabled, even after you accept.

Purchases

When you buy Muffin, checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record and seller. They process your name, email, billing address and payment details to complete the sale, handle taxes and prevent fraud. Lemon Squeezy passes limited order information back to us (such as your name, email, country and order details) so we can deliver the product and provide support. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). See the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy at lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

Muffin waiting list

If you enter your email address in the Muffin early-access form, we store that address together with the page you signed up from and the date, so that we can email you about Muffin. It is a single-purpose list: we do not use it for anything else and we do not pass it on to anyone. The list is stored and the emails are sent by Kit (Kit.com, Inc., United States, formerly ConvertKit), which acts as our processor. You confirm your subscription by clicking a link in a confirmation email, and every email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Signing up is entirely optional and the rest of the site works without it. See the Kit privacy policy at kit.com/privacy.

Muffin download

Downloading the free version of Muffin opens a window that asks for your email address. If you submit it, we store that address together with three details about the download itself: which button on the page you used, which version of Muffin you downloaded, and the address of the page you were on (including any campaign parameters in that address, if you arrived through a link that carries them). We use this to send you an email when a new version of Muffin is out, and to see which parts of the page actually lead to a download. We do not store your IP address with it, we do not use it for anything else and we do not pass it on to anyone. This list is kept separate from the waiting list, and it is also stored and sent by Kit as our processor. Here you give consent by submitting the form itself, so there is no confirmation email to click; every email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link and you can ask us to delete your address at any time. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Giving your address is optional: if you close the window, the download link below it still works, and Muffin itself works the same either way.

Embedded BeatStars player

The beats page at prodparker.com/beats embeds a music player from BeatStars (player.beatstars.com). The player is the catalogue itself, so it loads as soon as you open that page, before the cookie banner appears. When it loads, your browser contacts BeatStars directly and BeatStars receives your IP address, browser details and the page you came from, and can set its own cookies. We have no access to those cookies and no control over what BeatStars does with that data; BeatStars is an independent controller for it. Please read the BeatStars privacy policy at beatstars.com/privacy before using the player. If you would rather not share that data, do not open the beats page, or block third-party cookies for player.beatstars.com in your browser. This does not apply to any other page on this site.

Fonts and hosting

All web fonts on this site are hosted on our own server. Your browser never contacts Google Fonts, Fontshare or any other font provider, so no IP address of yours is shared with them. Our website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., which processes technical data such as your IP address and request logs to serve the site securely. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in presenting and delivering the site reliably (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

What we do not do

We do not use advertising, retargeting or profiling cookies, we do not sell your personal data, and we do not buy or import email addresses. The only email we send is to people who entered their own address on the waiting list or in the download window, and only about Muffin.

3. Cookies and local storage

Consent preference (local storage, not a cookie): we store your banner choice under the key "muffin_consent_v1" in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again. It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is not used for tracking.
Waiting-list marker (local storage, not a cookie): once you have signed up for the Muffin waiting list, we store the key "muffin_waitlist_v1" in your browser's local storage so we do not ask you again. It holds no email address, stays on your device and is not used for tracking.
Download marker (local storage, not a cookie): once you have given your email address for the Muffin download, we store the key "muffin_download_v1" in your browser's local storage so the window does not ask you again on your next download. It holds no email address, stays on your device and is not used for tracking.
Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies are set only after you select "Accept". You can refuse them by selecting "Decline". Declining is one click, exactly like accepting.
BeatStars cookies: the embedded player on the beats page sets its own cookies when that page loads. They are set by BeatStars, not by us, and selecting "Decline" on our banner does not remove them. See section 2 for what that means and how to avoid it.
Withdrawing consent: select "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page. That clears your stored choice, switches analytics storage back off immediately, and brings the banner back so you can choose again. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.

4. International transfers

Google may process analytics data on servers in the United States, and Kit stores the waiting list and the download list in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses. We load Google Analytics only with your consent, and Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Your email address only leaves your browser if you submit the waiting-list form or the download form yourself.

5. How long we keep data

Google retains analytics data for the period set in our Google Analytics configuration (currently 14 months). Purchase and invoice records held by Lemon Squeezy and by us are kept for as long as tax law requires, which in the Netherlands is generally 7 years. Email addresses on the waiting list and on the download list are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. On the waiting list, addresses that are never confirmed are removed after 30 days. Your consent preference stays in your browser until you clear it.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and portability, and you can object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place. To exercise any of these rights, email info@prodparker.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

7. If you are in the United States

We apply the same opt-in standard everywhere: nothing is measured until you accept. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act, we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not process sensitive personal information for inference. If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you can appeal a refusal, by emailing info@prodparker.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Because analytics only runs after you opt in, selecting "Decline" or "Cookie settings" is also how you opt out.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email info@prodparker.com and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version.
